Deafening silence
It has gotten really quiet around here. The entire month of February has almost passed by with nary a word from Stanford or Berkeley (the two remaining interview invites). I will keep my fingers crossed and my hopes up until at least mid-March, though.
Northwestern (Kellogg) has been releasing decisions on a rolling basis for a week or two now, so every time my cell phone rings, I secretly hope that the caller ID is "Unavailable" and that the caller will bring good news. No such luck. Yet.
Liane and I are off to Hawaii on Thursday morning for 12 days, which means that I will find out my fate at both Duke and UNC while I am on a beautiful tropical island. Good news will be even better, and bad news won't be so hard to take. This Hawaiian vacation also means that I won't be able to make UCLA Anderson's first (of two) admitted student weekends, A-Days I, which is March 10-13. I will instead have to wait until late April to head to A-Days II. I'm thinking that A-Days I is probably better to go to than A-Days II, since most of the R1 and R2 admits will be at the first one, but Hawaii takes priority in this case.

I too was planning on attending A-days II but thought that since A-days I would let me see Anderson before the deposit date of April 15, I would be able to make a better informed decision. I was unaware that round 1 admits would be there as well. I assumed that round 1 admits already had their A-days a while ago. Good thing I read your blog. This is one more reason to go for A-days I, though I rather be in Hawaii. Have fun!
