UNC ups the ante
I just got a call from the director of admissions at UNC. She said that they aren't in the business of purchasing students, but she wanted to make sure that finances aren't what is holding me back from joining her at Kenan-Flagler. Yep, she upped the fellowship offer to full tuition.
Very tempting to have 40k debt vs. 100k debt after 2 years!

You didn't seem that impressed with UNC when you visited. Will you be happy at UNC if you're worried that people will have the same perceptions of it that you did?
If Duke had offered nothing, it would seem to be a closer call. Either way, it's great to be loved by the admissions officers!
